Essence over excess
Emporia sits above endless rows of vines outside Mostar, twelve rooms set into a piece of contemporary architecture that reads more like a private estate than a hotel. Below the guest floors, a working winery runs the length of the building — the reason the whole place exists.
Farm-to-table dining, a horizon pool that appears to spill into the valley, and a wine list written entirely by the house: Emporia is a slow argument for staying exactly where you are.

Nine wines, one archive tunnel, and a wine station whose history predates the country itself.
Imperial Vineyards
A wine school older than the border
The region's first wine station and wine school opened in 1866, under Emperor Franz Joseph I. The vineyards planted then are still known locally as the Imperial Vineyards, and Emporia's cellar carries their name forward.
The Concrete Eggs
Mineral wines, made without wood
Alongside oak barrique and clay amphora, part of the harvest ferments in concrete eggs — a shape that keeps the lees in constant, gentle motion and produces wines with a distinct mineral edge.
Deep Red & White Mist
Two cuvées, and a case for local grapes
Emporia's signature blends sit beside single-varietal bottlings of Žilavka and Blatina — the estate's argument that this corner of Herzegovina deserves its own place on a serious wine list.
Visit the Cellar
A tour, on foot, by quad, or by golf car
Guests can walk the vineyard rows, ride out by quad or golf cart, and finish underground in the archive tunnel where bottles age in amphora, concrete and toasted wood.

An indulgent, made-to-order breakfast, with early service and breakfast-to-go available for guests heading out to the vineyard at first light.

Lunch in the glass gallery
The dining room is sun-soaked and glass-walled, built to frame the vineyard rather than compete with it. Expect Adriatic tuna tartare and sun-kissed courgettes from the estate's own beds.

Dinner, timed to the light
Slow-roast veal and modern takes on regional classics, plated to be unhurried, paired glass by glass with the estate's own vintages.

A pool that ends in the valley
The horizon pool is unheated and open only to guests, lined with loungers and framed by nothing but vineyard and sky. It is, by design, the one place on the estate where the itinerary stops.
